I believe the Arturia Keylab 88 MKII is easily one of the best 88 key MIDI controllers. It has the best key- bed currently available for a MIDI keyboard today and comes with a solid set of faders and drum pads.

The lifetime of a synth is limited. In 20+ years they might still work or not. I would prepare for buying a replacement synth instead of worrying. The problem with synths is that each model is unique and if they die 20 years later, there's usually no direct replacement available.
